Guest star James Troesch and his wife, Theresa Troesch, co-wrote the script for this episode in which he recreates his characterization of Scotty, an ebullient young quadriplegic who was introduced in the previous two-part episode "One Fresh Batch of Lemonade." This time around, Scotty has become depressed, convinced that no girl could ever love him because of his handicap.
