I second Arnold S. I would only add that all of the performances were good.

One doesn't expect a comic opera from stodgy old Handel but this one, which came early in his career, certainly was written to be funny and the London National Opera stages it to take full advantage of the slapstick opportunities. They managed to engage three top notch counter-tenors which is a great relief after seeing too much Handel performed by "women in pants." Keep an open mind about it being performed partially in modern dress and you'll have a great time. There's a bonus of an excellent one hour movie which includes a number of exerpts from Handel operas one of which has Julius Caesar played by a woman in pants.
