Member Rating:
A woman discovers she doesn't know the man she married as well as she thought in this thriller. Julianne (Tara Reid) impulsively marries her boyfriend Mitch (Kip Pardue) to break free from her controlling family, and the newlyweds decide to spend their honeymoon in a lakefront cabin on a small and secluded island. While the idea sounds romantic at first, the honeymoon soon takes a sinister turn and Julianne discovers Mitch has more than love on his mind. Realizing she's in grave danger, Julianne has to find a way to escape the location that they in fact chose because of its seclusion. Produced under the title Heaven's Pond, Devil's Pond also features Meredith Baxter and Dan Gunther. ~ Mark Deming, Rovi

What is the matter with you people? How can you give it so many stars? This was the worst movie I have ever seen. The only reason it get's half a star is because I'm not able to give it zero stars. Kip Pardue is a joke and Tara Reid must've taken acting classes taught by Paris Hilton. There is no reason for Kip's character to flip out, there is no back story. This sucks, really, really, really sucks.

I found this to be a very good suspense flick, and agree with most everything the other positive reviews here bring to light. My only gripe, is why do they always have to make the female lead look so stupid? OK, she lead a pampered life of a rich girl, but any self respecting gal has seen a suspense movie or two. I know, I know, those who have seen this are thinking but that's the "nice" character she played. There are several times the female lead could of gotten away. After she knocks him out the first time....that's when most smart women would of tied him up good. And, again when he fell asleep she could of tied him up then too!!! No offense to Tara Reid, she did a marvelous acting job. The writers almost nailed it,but this was a week flaw in the script.
