Turandot, the most beloved operatic work from composer Giacomo Puccini, is performed in Salzburg, Germany in this production from TDK Mediactive. Starring Gabriele Schnaut in the title role and Robert Tear as Altoum, the 2002 performance also includes music by the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra under conductor Valery Gergiev. ~ Matthew Tobey, Rovi
This is the ugliest Turandot I have ever seen in my whole life. Not only the conception is a total nonsense, but Princess Turandot and Prince Calaf are exceedingly overweighted and so homely and badly dressed that I am totally turned off. Supreme bad taste!!!
Don't they have better looking opera singers in Salzbourg?
This is waste of time. We have many more beautiful Turandots to watch.
