The 2001 independent family feature Reversal is written by actor Jimi Petulla, who based the script on his own experiences as a high school wrestler. Danny Mousetis plays Leo Leone, a high school wrestler and son of the wrestling coach (Petulla). Leo's father pushes him to compete for a wrestling scholarship, but inevitably the son is sidetracked by experimenting with drugs and sex. Meanwhile, his ultimate adversary has arrived in town in the form of wrestling champion Thurman Ellis Jr. (Justin Spates), who is also coached by his wrestling-mad father (Guido Foehrweisser). ~ Andrea LeVasseur, Rovi

only high school and college wrestlers know about this movie but it is better then alot of the dumb sports movies that are coming out lately. this movie is so true my freshman i almost quit wrestling bc of cutting weight i was cutting from 117 to 103 and it was rly now i cut less and love the sport more then life....
The acting in this movie was so bad it became distracting. I really think the actress that played the Mom was trying to sabotage the movie. It had a little bit of an after school special feel to it. I watched the whole thing to see if a plot would ever develop. It didn't. I did enjoy the performance of the old coot that played the trainer. That guy was phenomenal.
