Member Rating:
Dean Cain and Thomas Ian Griffith star in this science fiction adventure set in the distant future. As the Planet Earth has descended into a state of constant war, two colonies of human beings are established on a world far from ours. The colonists create a thriving new civilization, but sadly they have also inherited the worst impulses of their forebearers, and years later war breaks out among the settlers, leaving the new cities they have created in ruins. Decades later, the children of the settlers are still fighting a war for a cause no one can remember, and it falls to a handful of brave teenagers to bring peace to the Earthling colony. ~ Mark Deming, Rovi

The plot was a little thin and not very original except for the witches, which, in my opinion could have been expanded upon and more detailed to make the movie much more interesting. But over all it is a very entertaining sci-fi flick.

This IS Sci-Fi !!! I did not expect to like it, and I thought Dean Cain, as usual, was a little "stiff", his character did not seem very well developed, on the other hand, it did help to make his character more difficult to care about, and when he is revealed to be a villain; it is easier to despise him. So it does make the movie work. BUT, what it really takes for a movie, or TV show, to be successful; is that the audience MUST care about the characters. And, the audience will care about the characters, ONLY if the characters care about each other. This movie succeeds in developing the characters that you want to care about. The characters you want to care about seem like real people you want to know and have as friends. This increases the audience's emotional involvement. I admit I had to watch it twice to really appreciate the subtle development of relationships between the characters, but it's there. Yes, I liked it, enough to buy it.
