Being from the Philippines, and being 25, I fondly remember my trips to visit my Lola at Lolo(Grandmom and Grandpa) in a nice subdivision outside Metro Manila. Little did I know that there was this different side of the Philippines. Knowing that we, as a country are poor, did not shock me. What did, however was the seeming underbelly of the gay/lesbian underbelly that the Church seems to frown on. This is a movie that all people who are interested in the "alternate" lifestyle should see. It's a tale of romance, heartbreak, dreams, and shattered ones. My wife enjoyed her first Tagalog movie, and would also recomend it!

I'm not sure why this had a 2.5 star rating at the time of this review... maybe because this film gets a little too close to reality, visually speaking. Great film, great story. Not for kids.

I'm not a gay Filipino, but I found it to be a good movie. It was a raw movie sexually and I loved the boy on boy scenes very exotic yet intimate. Haha over all it was dramatic and sad but a reality all the same. I recommand it too.
