Explore Milford Beeghly's obsessive quest to create hybrid corn in this playful, award winning documentary from filmmaker Monteith McCollum. Convinced that his product could play a pivotal role in ending world hunger, Beeghly began pitching it to skeptical farmers in the 1930s. Twenty years later, he was using television to get out his message, and people were starting to listen. By speaking with Beeghly and his family, McCollum simultaneously presents a rich portrait of a determined eccentric and demystifies the subject of corn hybridization. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

What an incredibly boring movie! That was 93 minutes of my life that I am not getting back. Everything about this movie was awful. Avoid at all costs.

Shoot me in the face. This was a terrible terrible documentary. Hey Old Man Johnson! "Yeah". Let's take all of that footage we found in that dumpster behind the KFC and make a movie! "OK". If this movie won an award then it was the low point of the 1927 special olympics.

I thought this movie was about the new technology of the hybrid cars, but it was about a freaking old man talking about corn in black and white. Also it looks like the movie was filmed right in the time of the old man, 1932...kkk... With a Kentucky accent. I watched about 5 minutes in the total of the movie. It was the maximun the I could stand.
