Rob Green makes his feature debut with this moody horror flick about war, paranoia, and unspeakable evil. As the Allies close in around the Nazis, pounding them with relentless air strikes, a band of Germans takes refuge from the onslaught in a concrete bunker deep in the Black Forest. Long-forgotten tunnels extend from the bunker, further into the wilderness. Shell-shocked and exhausted, the survivors argue about provisions and strategies during a lull in fighting. As they slip into sleep, the horrors, murders, and plagues that rocked Europe for centuries seep into their souls. When the next wave of attacks threatens to blow them to smithereens, the war-weary group ventures deeper and deeper into the tunnels as they combat fear and insanity. Jason Flemyng, Charley Boorman, and Andrew Lee Potts star in this film which was screened at the 2001 Toronto Film Festival. ~ Jonathan Crow, Rovi

I am not "getting" all the bad reviews of this movie. I watched this and was entertained and frightened as well. I would have truely hated to have been in those tunnels with any of those soldiers myself. I suppose that's where the opinions differ. I tend to try to put myself in the movie rather than rent one strictly to find fault with it. Sure beats the heck out of Session 9 that got high ratings...absolutely NOTHING at all happened in that movie. Maybe that's it...something actually happens in this movie and people put it down, but with Session 9 nothing changes from start to finish and it gets rave reviews. I actually fell asleep twice during Session 9, but the Bunker kept me anticipating what would happen next. Definately not for claustrophobics! Very creepy movie in the vein of the Others, the Changeling, etc. Not like Freddy, Jason, Michael, or any airheaded newer "horror" movies. This one's a nod to the old school of ghost stories and good old creepy moments.

I thought it was going to be a stupid cheap horror movie but it turned out pretty good. Low budget but with a good realistic set and authentic looking german soldiers. It was more about the conflict within Germanys armies than it was about horror. The conflicts of the soldiers...the fanatical Hitler doctrine followers versus the average German soldier caught up in the Nazi attrocities. Very well done as far as I am concerned.

This movie wasn't terrible at all. A little cheasy, modern b-rated horror flick. But the story wasnt too bad, acting wasnt entirely terrible, effects were tolerable, I thought it was a very average movie. i wouldnt reccommend it, but I wouldnt never steer any one away from it either
