Interesting historical fiction. A good retelling of the Biblical account of the first Easter by fictional characters that "lived" about 30 years after the Resurrection & were enduring some tough times thanks to Nero. Although animated, younger children may be confused & scared by the themes, such as persecution. My K & 1st graders really love this series - it has been a great springboard for discussion about the freedoms we have in America, but I would use discretion in showing to younger audiences.
