I show this movie to my Kindergarten class every year. I teach in a rural community where there is not a very diverse culture. This movie really drives home the points that I make in class and helps the kids understand what MLK did for our country. The only thing that I don't care for is that the father of one of the characters in smoking a cigarette during one of the scenes. I think that the scene would be just as effective without a cigarette.

They showed this film in my daughters 5th grade class on MLK day and I also rented it for my 1st grader who really enjoyed it and learned alot. These animated history films make learning fun and kids absorb more.
