I used to be martial arts movie junkie. You know, watch anything as long as it had martial arts. After growing up quite a bit :-D , I find that my patience of most martial arts movies just isn't there. This is definitely one of the movies that breaks the mold of humdrum MA flicks. The blending of Sci-Fi/Post-Apocalyptic theme helps quite a bit as well. I wish there was more about the differing schools of MA mentioned in the movie. There doesn't seem to be much in the way of explaining how the schools developed. This one didn't and won't win industry acclaim but I found it very enjoyable and entertaining. Fight scenes are good with only a little bit of the fantasy type stuff; just enought to make it interesting and not overly corny. Anyway, if you are looking for something that you may have overlooked, check this one out. It is a good flick and good fun.

based on the graphic t.v. series this live version offers more story than the t.v.series but it isn't as violent.

Not my kind of movie, sort of cheesey and I am not much into martial arts. I lost interest pretty quickly and did not even finish watching the entire film.
