Gina Gershon and Jennifer Tilly nearly set the screen on fire in this clever, female-powered twist on the standard Mob caper film. Gershon is Corky, an ex-con renovating the apartment next door to where Tilly's Violet lives. Violet is the moll of psychotic gangster Caesar (Joe Pantoliano), who uses the apartment as an occasional location for meetings and beatings, and also uses Violet as an occasional plaything for his Mob cronies. Violet is attracted to the super-sexy Corky, and the two begin an intense affair. The story was much better than expected and had me riveted till the end. I did have to cover my eyes during the violent bathroom scene, but realize this was necessary for the story. Nice sex scenes, Gina Gershon is hot! One of the better lesbian themed movies! Highly recommened!

'This is so well written and unpredictable although many could guess the ending not one knows how we arrive. This is a bad girl/bad girl love story with alot of money in the middle. One of the best lesbian movies I've seen.

This had it's....moments...but, for the most part no real surprises here and I found it primarily a character driven (rather than story driven) caper. It dd bring a new & amusing meaning to money-laundering. Jennifer Tilly is always fun & in this she plays the mobster's girlfriend who secretly loves the female ummm handy-man next door played by Gina Gershon. I liked the performances would have appreciated more to the story though.

One of my favorite movies. Gina (Corky) Gershon is "always" good and she is HOT in this movie. Jennifer Tilly & Gina take Joe Pantoliano for quite the ride. So many twists and turns in this movie. You have to follow it close. You will not be disappointed - guaranteed. I have probably seen this movie at least 4 times and it never ceases to amaze me.

It is a throwback to the old crime noir films with a twist -- 2 women helping each other to each other and helping themselves to the mobs money! Tilly overplays it slightly (for my taste) but it is suspenseful, riveting, and nerve-wracking. Contains violence, profanity, nudity. Definitely a man-movie. To clear up something another reviewer wrote: this movie came out in 1997 LONG before the Sopranoes.
