John Hughes sticks to his seemingly fool-proof formula for success in Baby's Day Out, a cross-pollination of Home Alone and a Swee' Pea cartoon. The plot seems all-too familiar: posing as baby photographers, a group of three would-be kidnappers (led by the usually outstanding character actor Joe Pantoliano) enter an unsuspecting wealthy Chicago couple's home and make off with Baby Bink after leaving a ransom note. However, while waiting for the delivery of the ransom money, Baby Bink manages to escape and subsequently embarks on a series of cutesy-poo adventures in downtown Chicago (including a crawl through a skyscraper construction site), leaving the hapless crooks in hot pursuit. ~ Jeremy Beday, Rovi
This movie is rib busting and fantistico. The only drawback are the three foul words in the movie. It is recommended that the adult watch the movie first and know where the three bad words are so that they can be muted for children (even then, the movie is worth watching twice in a short time for the adult).
This movie is great! There is some humor mixed with adventure, creating the perfect family movie! My 3 year old (and I) loved the baby!! Who wouldn't??
This did not do well at the box office and some critics didn't like it (because it has the look feel of some comedies decades earlier) but forget the critics.....this movie is a blast. We laughed our fannies off and so will you.
I only give this movie 5 stars because 6 wasnt available,if you are bored and need A good laugh this is the movie you need to watch, but beware this movie can be dangerous you will laugh so hard you may lose your breath,A must see for all ages
This is a family movie that never strays too far from sweetness, other than the cartoonish violence inflicted upon the bumbling crooks. My children loved this movie, and if you watch it like a Tom and Jerry cartoon, you will too.
My 3 boys and I love watching this movie together. We take it with us on trips and watch it during downtimes at our hotel. This is a must see. It keeps us laughing all the way through each time we watch it.
