Crime is the disease and Sylvester Stallone is the cure in Cobra, a high-octane rehash of the Clint Eastwood/Dirty Harry films, burnished to a 1980s action sheen. Stallone is Marion Cobretti, a cop called in when regular police methods have failed. Cobra is sent to get a cult of Charles Manson-like serial killers and to protect Ingrid (Brigitte Nielsen), a beautiful, statuesque witness who is set to testify against them. Cobra deposits Ingrid in an out-of-the-way town for safe-keeping, but a mole in the police department tips off the killers. Really cheesy, hope that means something to you. An average bad cop/action movie. Not Stallones best. Very cliched at times nothing particularly new in this film but it still entertains you. Not enough of Brigitte nielsen (she was hot then) to make it worth tuning in for her.

Wow, I remembered seeing this movie a long time ago and I was thinking I'd like to see it again. Watching it again though, well, Stallone's character is an over the top cliche of a tough guy rebel cop. It was fun to watch again but it's not a well put together movie, good for some explosions and gun fighting scenes, a lil bit o car chasing.

The bad guy in this movie kept it interesting and stallones character was cool.Sure it isn't the best stallone has to offer but if your into cops/bad guy films this was one of the best from the 80's.And that being said..it's only worth a rental but, still interesting enough.

My wife and I seldom agree on movies, but we both found this dog severly pathetic. The thought of bad guys clanking their sledges and axes overhead in rhythm still brings us many laughs.
