Producer Todd Holland's The Chicken Thing couldn't have existed without such films as Friday the 13th and Don't Go In the Basement. With deadpan conviction, Holland deftly skewers the entire "something horrible lurking about" genre. Yes, the principal villain is a killer chicken. And, surprise!
