Universal Soldier: Regeneration director John Hyams once again gives the long-running action franchise a rejuvenating adrenaline boost with this sequel centering on a haunted soldier who vows vengeance on Deveraux (Jean-Claude Van Damme) and his army of superpowered henchmen after seeing them kill his family in cold blood. Dolph Lundgren co-stars. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi
Nothing happens. He drifts through the movie killing universal soldiers and anyone who gets in his way which is frustrating because there's no plot. Appearances by Jean Claude Van Damme and Dolph Lundgren don't do much other than remind the audience it's Universal Soldier. Long, slow, and boring monotonous duels to the death. Rent Haywire instead or previous Universal Soldier movies.
I liked the movie and didn't think it was too slow at all. Plenty of great action scenes to be had though some of the camera work was a bit annoying as was the strobe effect in a couple of scenes. The acting was just okay but the fight sequences made up for it.
This movie could have been alot better. It was a real slow addition in the Universal Soldier series, it focused too much on dialog and not enough on the action. The few scenes that did have action were pretty good though. I just hope that this is the end of Universal Soldier. They have taken a good movie and turned it into a cheap straight to video independent knock off.
Don`t waste your time, Va Damme doesn`t speak a word and Lundgren come out 5 minutes, slow, none sense story, no action.Nothing to do with Universal Soldier movies
