An extreme vacation turns terrifying when a group of friends visit the Chernobyl disaster site, and learn that some nightmares never die. Conceived and produced by Paranormal Activity's Oren Peli, Chernobyl Diaries gets underway as six thrill-seeking tourists hire a fearless tour guide, and travel to the abandoned Ukrainian city of Pripyat. Back when the Chernobyl nuclear reactor was up and running, Pripyat was the place the workers called home. But 25 years after one of the worst power-plant accidents in history, the city serves as an eerily silent testament to the dangers of nuclear power. Later, after getting unexpectedly stranded in Pripyat, the tourists and their guide realize they are being hunted. Now the harder they try to flee, the faster their numbers dwindle until only a few are left standing. Only then will the unspeakable terror that stalks these deserted streets finally emerge from the shadows to launch one last relentless, terrifying attack. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

This movie started out great. It had a really interesting concept, then sadly when it should've taken off, it fell asleep.

Well, it was what I thought. Lots on creepy shots but no satisfaction in the end.

It was much better than expected. I found the characters to be likable and fairly bright. The locale is what makes it for me, very different. The ending is a bit vauge patients? what patients? Overall a very creepy movie

This movie was made for about $ 10,000 U.S and they got their 3 year old daughter to stand in front of the camera backwards. Ooh' and this is suppose to be scary??? I could of made a better film in my bathtub for $ 5 dollars U.S .....one of the most dumb movies I have ever seen. If this movie scared you at all, then you better stay away from the tissue box for fear of the Booger man'. Stop supporting movies like this. I am sorry I paid to see this bore of a contaminated movie. No this movie does not even glow in the dark. Dumb, dumber and really stupid.

Lame - typical misleading trailers to coverup a not-so-great movie. It did have its "good moments", but can't really recommend it.

Was not that good of a movie to watch. Just wasn't much going on till the end of it..

Although original and different, I was expecting to be scared into nightmares....not so much. Many moments of "what the f... was that" but I felt this movie should of kept on it to be better. The blonde played by Olivia Dudley was a beautiful highlight tho...props to the casting director!

God awful. So slow and they never show anything. I am cool with some scares by what you don't see but the whole movie was them running with shaky camera work and nothing scary in sight. You can really see the low budget in this must miss film.

Being concocted by Oren Peli of Paranormal Activity fame, I thought this movie had a chance of being real good after seeing the trailer but boy was I wrong. It's not horrible but there is too much of a lack of horror/suspense and oftentimes the plot is slow. Maybe I'm more upset because I saw it at the theater. If anything, definitely more of a rental than a go-see-at-the-theater type of movie fo sho.

One-stop shopping for radiation-induced cannaballistic zombie medical experiments gone wrong, in a foreign country. Seen it before, just not sure if it was all in the same movie before!

Incredibly routine horror flick is nothing more than a familiar exercise on who survives and who doesn't, enough to give Chernobyl a bad name.

Dumb movie and painful to watch. The last part was filmed in the dark and most of the time you had no clue what was even happening. Dumb!
