A grown-up Dorothy Gale finds herself once again pitted against The Wicked Witch of the West in this fantasy adventure inspired by author L. Frank Baum's cherished tales of Oz. A respected author of children's books, Dorothy (Paulie Rojas) gleans her inspiration from the fantastic yarns spun by her grandfather when she was just a little girl. Upon receiving a handsome offer from a prominent New York publisher, Dorothy packs her bags and prepares for the adventure of a lifetime. Shortly after arriving in the city, however, Dorothy's dormant memories of her own trip to Oz come rushing back, and she realizes that her childhood nemesis The Wicked Witch of the West has hatched a plan to cross into our reality. Should she succeed, it would certainly spell doom for the entire world. But with the help of her old friends, Dorothy might just have the power to save mankind from the vengeful enchantress' wrath. Sean Astin, Ethan Embry, Lance Henriksen, Christopher Lloyd, and Jeffrey Combs star. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

This movie was WAY too long and roundabout. My husband and I aren't sure how they managed to get some big name stars in this "flopper". We ended up just fast-forwarding a big chunk of the last hour, as there were scenes that just took forever, with very little point.

this movie had way too much going on, and it just kept going, just when you thought it would end.

This movie is so horrific that I didn't finish it. Stupid story, terrible acting, not entertaining.

What a great movie. I'm not sure if this is part of the book series, or a written sequel to the original Wizard of Oz, but I really enjoyed it. Nice story, good customes and good excitement.

Wow! Is this a bad movie! It has the production values of an afterschool special...but not as good. Do not rent it!

A very well done movie. A slow start but very entertaining. There were 3 major flaws that should had been caught that didn`t follow the original story, but the youth of today will never notice.

I eventually understood the storyline but it takes forever to get there and the story is a bit here and there, kind of all over the place. the acting was just okay.
