Struggling writer Rory Jansen (Bradley Cooper) rockets to fame after passing off a brilliant found manuscript as his own, but experiences an acute crisis of conscience after his stint in the spotlight changes him in ways he never expected. Jeremy Irons, Dennis Quaid, and Olivia Wilde co-star. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi
Mostly interesting and engaging. Could have been a phenomenal story. But the resolution to this movie sucks. (I won't spoil). Just feel like the writers gave up and didn't know what else to do, so they just stopped telling the story. The young woman flirtation with the narrating writer pretty much ruins the story. It's just a dumb relationship.
My husband and I enjoyed it. Acting was good, suspenseful and we thought Brad Cooper did a great job. Believable plot. Could really see this happening to someone! Would recommend it to friends. Nancy C.
really thought this was going to be a great movie but it let me down. Sounds strange to say but I didn't like the beginning just drug on and the ending wasn;t good either did however start to like the middle. could of been so much better.
Interesting, and well acted, well, except for Olivia Wilde, very lame evolvement of her character. But, while I liked the twists, the end was so ambiguous as to what the heck just happened here? Who is who? What are we supposed to assume? Just too much left to interpretation for my tastes.
Great way to spend an afternoon....loved the story with all of its twists and turns. The chick at the end was the weakest, most unbelievable but everyone else was strong and well played. Might see it again at the theater but if not, definitely on DVD. Thumbs up!! 8 of us went today....2 thumbs down, 6 thumbs up.
Wow! I really thought this movie was going somewhere? Sad thing is the first part of the movie I thought it had a good storyline and seemed like it was going somewhere. It just never got to a point. And started going all over the place and never made any sense????
This is a beautiful, compelling, and very moving film of love, tragedy, regret, forgiveness, and life. We all make mistakes, and so does our hero, brilliantly played by Bradley Cooper. The supporting actors Zoe Saldana and Jeremy Irons were magnificent. We loved it.
