Enjoyed this movie so much I watched it twice before returning it. I am a huge fan of Shia LaBeouf and he did not dissapoint in this movie. The DVD is worth buying!

I enjoyed this film very much.I have one criticism and that is about the acting. I am a huge fan of both Tom Hardy and Guy Pearce. However, Hardy's character was completely one dimensional. The script and the direction might be the culperit there. Guy Pearce was completely over the top.Gary Oldman is usually that way, and in this film he was fine. It looked as if Pearce played his role ala Oldman.Notwithstanding, it was a decent film.

I have been a huge fan of Shia Labeuof, ever since Even Stevens, so he was the main reason why i decided to watch this movie. His performance overall was excellent, but i wouldn't say it's his best movie. The movie itself was pretty good. The directors and producers really show what it was like back in the 1920's. A lot of violence and swearing going on, so it is definitely not for kids. There's even a nice little nude scene of the main female character, but that's not important. Bottom line, rent this movie! I wouldn't recommend buying it, though, but definitely viewable.

    Saw this last night, and it was as good as I hoped it would be. I love this time period and the fact it was based on the true story of the Bondurant Brothers, moonshiners, made it interesting. The movie went beyond my expectations with the excellent acting, and attention to detail. A little violent of course, but mixed with love stories as well... Best movie about this subject matter I have seen.

    Definitely worth renting, Lawless has all of the compelling elements of fine drama, love story subplots, strong villains, characters with strengths and weaknesses and gritty storyline. The fact that it has roots in actual events and people also adds to the satisfaction of glimpsing into a not too distant era in our country's evolution, and provides a strong commentary about moral relativism

    very good movie, I especially liked Tom Hardy....between warrior and lawless i think He is a force to be admired for his poutiness almost like Brando. Guy was a good bad guy would like to have done him myself!
