Twilight's Kellan Lutz and Ashley Greene re-team in a story of young love and the values that can be learned through a shared passion for sport. In shock and denial over his Marine father's death in combat, high school lacrosse star Conor Sullivan (Kellan Lutz) starts acting out in self destructive ways until he's kicked off the team and sent to a wilderness lacrosse camp run by his dad's combat buddy (Adam Beach). Strengthened by the support and understanding of his new found love (Ashley Greene) , and though a deep understanding of the game and its Native American roots, he opens his eyes to the true meaning of sportsmanship, love and life.
Wow! I really enjoyed this movie. It's a shame that great movies like this, don't get the attention they deserve. I will be spreading the word to my friends and family. It's refreshing to watch something with a meaningful story line for a change. I would high recommend this movie. **I would also like to add that I didn't really view this movie as a romance or love story. I thought it was very guy friendly. As a mother of a teenage son, both he and my husband enjoyed it.
JERRY H. I thought I would learn something about lacrosse from this movie. I really didn't learn much of anything. They would show players crashing into each other and it was considered a good play. Then they would show a similar crash and it was considered a dirty play worthy of a penalty or ejection. Why?? Pair that with the constant use of tired old sports cliches and the movie became one big mystifying bore. Very disappointing!
I liked this movie dispite it's B level presentation. It failed in what seemed like part of it's mission to create a sports level appreciation for the game of lacrosse. I did not recognize Kellan Lutz with blond hair (as oppossed to his dyed dark hair in the Twilight seriers). He looks better with blond and it was an extra delight to discover Ashley Greene (Alice in the Twilight series) also in the movie.
I had such high hopes for this movie and was completely bummed out...I fast fwd through alot of it..very predicable...they didnt emphasis the romance as mucha s I thought they should of.
