Down-on-his-luck Las Vegas magician Burt Wonderstone (Steve Carell) reunites with his old partner Anton Marvelton (Steve Buscemi) to take on hip illusionist Steve Gray (Jim Carrey) in this comedy from prolific television director Don Scardino. Partners for 30 years, illusionists Burt and Anton made the Las Vegas Strip a magical place to be. The trailer did show a lot of the good parts, but I still enjoyed it. There was also some that the trailer did not show. I think it was a great movie about magicians and was obvious that Jim Carrey's character was supposed to a Cris Angel type, which is kind of a dis to Cris because he actually does magic and illusions. Jim Carrey's character really injures himself when cris does not. Anyways, I enjoyed the movie. But it did feel a little long and not quite as funny as I had hoped for. I liked the ending and was not disappionted I saw it. But if I could do it over, I would probably wait for it to come out on video.
