Seth Numrich and Matt Doyle star in this modern take on Shakespeare's classic romantic drama, Romeo and Juliet. Incorporating the play's original text, the film follows eight male cadets who are left behind at an isolated military high school. Through YouTube videos and indie-rock, the experience becomes something truly Shakespearean. ~ Tracie Cooper, Rovi

Private Romeo is another modern adaptation of the classic love tragedy, this time set in a private military prep school. Even though the film often seems like an acting class exercise, the all-male cast is quite good, nimbly switching roles, genders, and even families (Montague now, Capulet later) while using the Bard's most excellent text to tell a contemporary tale of cadet love. The cinematography and music are lovely.

Although it seemed a bit over rehearsed at times, I really liked this adaptation of this movie. It is entertaining and intriguing at the same time. I would recommend this movie.
