Documentary about a woman who early in childhood her Mother told her an indisputable truth: “You are ugly”. She lived the 20th Century; fearlessly opening trails for herself. Hands-on Editor of Harper's Bazaar Mag. supervising & choosing contacts. Men in the publishing industry, admired her firm grasp of business, art, and understanding of fashion trends. As Editor-in-Chief at Vogue Mag, she introduced the unusual as beautiful: freckles, front teeth spaces etc. Eventually, becoming a celebrity. She admired Coco Chanel as someone who understood the 20th Cent. During the recession, she presented models in exotic places, expensive project that cost her dismissal. Her Insightful beliefs: Give them what they don't know they want yet and Don't be boring. In the end still refusing to accept defeat, she accepted a Special Consultant to the Met. Museum of Art; having no funds & put it on the map. She successfully created the Celebrity Night Social Event. The Unsinkable Survivor.
