The skillful Ma Teng (Ti Lung) has discovered a method of defeating the dreaded Flying Guillotine, prompting the emperor to develop a more lethal version of the weapon and putting it in the hands of his fierce female warriors. Now, in order to defeat the nefarious emperor, Ma must create a deadly new weapon capable of unparalleled destruction. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi
I always love 60's 70's 80's traditional classic swordplay Chinese movies. The fights, sceneries, cinema settings, cultures, clothings,......that I can imaging how Chinese people lived with harsh lifes a thousand years ago. It is brutal, but beautiful.
This is a classic Shaw Bros action movie, action throughout the movie, but the last half hour is wall to wall action. The remastered copy is great as you would expect from Dragon Dynasty and Shaw Bros. The story is well developed and the cast is very impressive, headlining are Ti Lung, Ku Feng, and Shi Szu, but it is the "extras" stunt cast that is just as impressive, Yuen Biao, Yuen Bun, and the master of action Yuen Wo Ping who I clearly saw in a swordfight. I really enjoyed this movie.
