This movie was disturbing. I think I will have a very hard time looking at Nicole Kidman any time soon. I was shocked by her role and the fact that she did this. I know it is acting but yikes...the things she does in this movie are just so down in the gutter dirty. I also had a bit of a problem with the wardrobe. One guy walks around in his underwear doing gratuitous "lying on the bed" shots all through the movie, to what point I have no idea. Matthew M was unreal in this too. The hotel scene just totally made me sick. I guess it was meant to shock the audience but beyond the visceral reactions you have to have a good story line and this is convoluted and confusing most of the time. If you aren't following it closely you will end up unsure of what the entire movie was even about. John Cusack is also terrifying in this. He looked and acted nuts. Having to watch him pile drive Nicole Kidman on a washing machine turned my stomach. I would give this movie a C-.

WOW.... EXCELLENT MOVIE!!!... yes, a bit dark, but this is a larger plot than you would think just reading the synopsis. Very well acted all around. Graphic sexual situations.... not for kids.

i wish i had read the review before i rented it 1 hours i will never get back, A waste of time not recommended if you like action or suspense movies can't see how it got 2-1/2 stars as great as Nicole Kidman looks i still don't see how people gave this movie one star.

Despite a stellar cast and an interesting story base, the execution of this film was disjointed, abrupt, incoherent, and just plain terrible. Absolutely hated it.

there are better movies out there; at least I want to believe it...I've never had a dream this bad and I hope not too...someone needs to go to writer classes and hope they do better this time; I hope they didn't waste too much time on this....

Do not walk but run! This movie is vile and I agree a paycheck for this monster should have been 0. I watched this movie because of great actors...But it wasnt worth the time Run away!

This movie is very dark. I think the only reason Nicole Kidman took this role is because she was flattered she could still be cast as a s-e-x symbol.
