Terror comes ripping right through the silver screen in this sequel that picks up exactly where Tobe Hooper's shocking 1974 classic left off. For decades, people in Newt, Texas, had been vanishing into thin air. When a horrified young girl escaped from the Sawyer house after seeing her friends butchered like cattle, the townspeople's worst fears about the reclusive clan were confirmed. Enraged, the locals formed a mob, burned down the blood-soaked abattoir, and methodically killed every member of the family. But in the blazing chaos of that fateful night, one of the Sawyers slipped away into the darkness. For decades it seemed as if the nightmare had ended. But when a young woman named Heather Miller (Alexandra Daddario) receives word that her distant grandmother has passed away, willing her a secluded Victorian mansion in the Texas desert, the discovery of a dark secret hidden deep in the cellar reveals the Sawyer's legacy of evil lives on. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi
Not Like The Original Which as its best. but This Movie Has A Pleasant Twist in It Unexpected.. This Movie starts Out slow But Around The Middle To End You Will get Into It. I Didnt Expect The ending,But Cool. The Movie Is Ok.
Terrible acting, plot and movie sequence. This movie is to the TCM series as inspired by true events are to the hollywood movies they make about them. The only positive is you get to see 2 gorgeous girls run around half naked, but I promise it's not worth the 92 minutes that you'll never get back!
The highlight of this movie was the cameo of Gunner Hansen (the original Leatherface) playing Boss Sawyer in the brief segment at the start of the movie the connects this film to the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Otherwise it was average at best.
Horrible! Pathetic! Even though the realistic gore was more, it could not hold a candle to the first! The acting was horrible, and the dialog just infantile! Even Clint Eastwood's kid couldn't save it!
The first half is typical horror "line up young people for the slasher" time. But the second half is really good! Suspenseful, interesting, takes a nice turn and loved the ending!
Overall, not as good as it could've been but better than expected.
