Wes Andesron has an idionsyncratic, distinct style. A twisted, surreal fairy tale tone, Endearing, funny and touching. Remarkable work by Bruce Willis, Edward Norton, Bill Murray, Francis McDormand and Tilda Swinton and luminous, unique performances by the filmâs pre-adolescent lovers Kara Haywood and Jared Gilman. The film captures the wonderful, surreal weirdness of first love (or at least oneâs childhood fantasy of first love) with a moving and hilarious honesty. Somehow, while the story of Sam and Suzyâs attempt to escape from the insane adult world that surrounds them has little to do with the realities of day to day life as we know it, it has everything to do with the realities of the budding heart. I canât remember when a film so reminded me of my own first fantasies of love. I love when a film makes a tear fall from my eye at the same time Iâm laughing. Starts out slow, but hang in there...you will end up loving this film. We saw it 2 weeks ago, and we still chuckle over some of the scenes. Definately one of those movies you want to watch more than once. Was this review helpful? Yes

Moonrise Kingdom is directo Wes Anderson's comeback film. Did a GOOD JOB in the directing the best cast he could fined. Bruce Willis, Bill murry, Ed Norton and Frances McDormand prove you can put a movie together with a large cast and them not over cast the little people. Very funny and I would watch it again.
