AMAZING Action & Suspense Movie all rolled-up in one pack. Perhaps the poor reviews come from people that simply aren't into "this Combo".
Can't say enough about *The Story, *The Action, *The Script, *The Characters, *The varied/diverse ACTORS/CAST, & *The Twists! You may think you "get it", yet the MOVIE really does take you for a ride. Sam Worthington looks scruffy yet you gotta know where his character is from and the situation. MOVIE does NOT have the Lead looking like a Wall Street Broker. Worthington, Bell, and everyone else "are their parts". Yes, "the Reporter/Keira's character" is annoying yet aren't tabloid types like that?!? Characters in this movie are multidimensional as are real-life people. They are Not simply good or bad, and are not super predictable... which gives them substance.
MAN ON A LEDGE is as it's characters- a multifaceted film; should appeal to most viewers who like suspense, crime-drama, and some real-life humor. A MUST SEE- It's My New Fav!
For just plain entertainment this is a pretty good movie. However, they don't lay enough groundwork for the viewer to really know what's going on until it's all explained at the end.
At first the movie was a bit confusing as it flicked between past to present but then it stayed in the present time and slowly it came together as to why the ex-con was out on the ledge. I don't want to give the movie away but it was a good movie, a bit of mystery and tense moments and a good ending.
