I thought this was an excellent movie. I loved the plot. I loved the characters. There was a teeny tiny bit of predictability, but that is to be expected.
The main character, sometimes he had an accent change though. Not sure what it was, but I don't think he is from the US. Sometimes his accent went from New York to New Zealand. lol
This was a good movie that kept me entertained. Worth the watch...
Starts a little slow...expected it to be better, it had a predictable plot. I wanted it to be better than it was, but I didn't fall asleep or anything....but the script was weak in building the characters and the plot needed refinement or rearranged for the movie to have more of a surprise or less predictability. The people who say they were surprised by the 'twists and turns' of this plot definitely don't watch as many movies as I. A lot of it doesn't make sense to me...like from the very beginning they say they have a jumper before anyone has even talked to the guy to see why he's out there or if negotiating is even needed, and the way they keep going inside and leaving him out there is kind of ridiculous, and the actual action scenes (which are few and far between) aren't very believable.
Good movie....don't know what bad re viewers are taking about. Sure, its no Oceans Twelve or Italian Job, but an entertaining movie for $3.99! A few plot twists....yea, some are predictable, Sam Worthington held it together. What's with Kyra Sedgewick in such a silly role? Rent.....grab popcorn....enjoy for what it is.
At first the movie was a bit confusing as it flicked between past to present but then it stayed in the present time and slowly it came together as to why the ex-con was out on the ledge. I don't want to give the movie away but it was a good movie, a bit of mystery and tense moments and a good ending.
