Director David Cronenberg adapts author Don DeLillo's novel about a Manhattan billionaire (Robert Pattinson) who finds his quest to get a haircut from his father's old barber complicated by the presidential motorcade, a gang of violent anarchists, and a funeral procession for a famous hip-hop star. Meanwhile, the wealthy 28-year-old's vast fortune rests on the value of the yuan, which he continually monitors from the comfort of his stretch limo. Samantha Morton, Paul Giamatti, and Juliette Binoche co-star. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

Despite the talents of the actors and the director, it all comes across as preachy, pretentious, shallow, and, ultimately, rather pointless.

Jessica K. I finished watched Cosmopolis rent and it was good, sad, and little funny last Saturday night. I understand why Kristen is so proud of her man Rob and she are so right about him at SWATH MTV interview with Josh Horowitz last summer cuz Rob is so good in it and perfect role as Eric Parker in Cosmopolis. I was like what that movie did not finish in the ending, but it was good film.
