If you are uptight and can't take a joke, don't watch this movie. If you can't handle some vulgar language and scenes, then dont watch this movie. If you like crude humor and some stuff that is just plain wrong, then watch this movie. It was a little cheesy and stupid at a few parts, but over all it was HILARIOUS!! The shock-value elements were few and far between. The romantic comedy elements almost felt like an afterthought. Compared to Borat and Bruno, this movie doesn't hold up, although there are far worse films out there. It's an OK rental. Glad I didn't pay full-fare to watch this in the theater. Not one of Cohen's best efforts. This is a miss not a hit. Could have been a better script but the story tried to be too broad and the jokes were too predictable and more than not, just not funny. Okay for the first 10 minutes and then it became tiresome and annoying.
Cohen is one of those comedians that you either like or really dis-like -- no in between it seems. I always think of him as an extreme comic actor -- not for everyone's taste. My Grade: D-

The actors were pretty good, and SOME of the lines were funny. On the flip side, a lot of the humor was crude and insulting to all types of people. The bad language would offend most... Watchable, but really wouldnt suggest this for anyone to pick out. Was this review helpful? Yes
