Nearly 70 years after the US military engaged an mysterious flying craft in the nighttime sky over Los Angeles, the vengeful interplanetary visitors return to settle the score in this sci-fi action adventure starring Kel Mitchell and Nia Peeples. When the invaders attempt to cripple the military by destroying our communications technology, disgraced Air Force Reserve Captain Tyler Laughlin rounds up a small squadron of determined survivors, and leads a mission to knock the alien mothership right out of the sky. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi
Unfortunately I was misled by the title and thought this was a similar movie with Aaron Eckhart. BEWARE IT IS NOT! It didn't take long to realize that this was a rip-off. Bad acting, script, and special effects. At times I felt they were intentionally trying to make a horrible movie. So much that it was quite comical. If you have nothing better to do in life such as eat, sleep, breathe, work, watch paint dry, etc...then you should watch it.
This movie was easily the worst movie I'd tried to watch in the past 20 years. I love Sci Fi, but this flick was a joke. I spent $4 on this service and finally turned the movie off after just 1 hour into it. Shame on the producers and actors for stealing my money.
Another Sci-Fi Original (Syfy original?) movie that is exactly what we've come to expect based on previous (crappy) movies. Yes, it ripped off another movie, they are like the Zynga of movie production groups. Syfy also commisioned the movie "Terminators" about a future war man vs robots, LOL. Sub par writing, acting, and fx combine for a true MST3K/Rifftrax worthy film!
This is by far the worst movie I have ever seen ( I actually didn't see most of it because it was so bad). The special effects look like they belong in the 1990's and the actors are D- at best. DO NOT RENT IT!!!
Not the worst movie I've ever seen, but very close to it. Bad acting, special effects left much to be desired. Definitely was not worth wasting my instore free rental on!! Pass it up unless you just like sleeping through movies!!
Should have let Charles Band (Full Moon) do this film. He would have turned it into something memorable. I Love bad movies, this one was just ok. The story was good just badly told. The acting would have come through much better had the production side done its job. I'd watch a part II If I got bored and had nothing else going on.
WARNING - - this is a MOCKBUSTER put out by THE ASYLUM. This video is a knock off both in title or theme or both. They do no original or quality work. There is commonality in all of THE ASYLUM films however - - none of them are worth watching - - BAD PLOT / BAD SCRIPT / BAD ACTING / BAD AUDIO BACKGROUND / BAD AUDIO RECORDING / BAD CGI / BAD VIDEO SPLICING - - - just BAD, BAD, BAD. The only entertainment value you will likely find is a competition with others to see who can count the most mistakes or the most cheesy lines, stolen sound effects and poor imagry. Unfortunately, this video rental company doesn't warn us of crappy videos - - I think they are more interested in inflating their video selection count for comparisons to their competition. I have seen a few reviewers provide relatively high ratings on some of the Asylum videos - - I can only conclude they are either high on something, or have a financial interest in luring more gullible viewers in. You've been warned!
