Nearly 70 years after the US military engaged an mysterious flying craft in the nighttime sky over Los Angeles, the vengeful interplanetary visitors return to settle the score in this sci-fi action adventure starring Kel Mitchell and Nia Peeples. When the invaders attempt to cripple the military by destroying our communications technology, disgraced Air Force Reserve Captain Tyler Laughlin rounds up a small squadron of determined survivors, and leads a mission to knock the alien mothership right out of the sky. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi
A total rip off of Battle: L.A.! I thought it would be at least cheesy good, but no. This was horrible from beginning to end, script, acting, dialog, effects just bad, bad, bad. Skip this trash at all cost.
It still amazes me that people get paid for putting a movie like this one out. To be clear this is the movie released by the syfy channel. Another clarification, this movie wasn't released it escaped. And by the way this is a sad reality for the syfy channel, which started out with high ideals about the future of the Scifi genre but has turned into a third rate sub B movie outlet for bad programing. If I had been in this movie I wouldn't show my face til the memory of this disaster of a movie fades from memory.
This is a total rip-off of Battle: Los Angeles that is playing in theaters nationwide. This is so low budget that it is comical. The effects are 3rd rate if at that. Its from the syfy channel so you will get what you pay for but its god awful at best. You have been warned earthling! lol
Ok this movie was put out intentionally to be misleading. Do you know how many people are going to just pick it up thinking it's the new big budget movie Battle: Los Angeles? Just enough to make a big profit on a low budget waste of film. I hate when they do this and B.B. shouldn't allow it.
Saw this on Scifi channel. Thought WTH is this? They are trying to confuse you and make you think this is the one in the theaters now. The theater one is excellent. This is junk. Special affects look they were done in the 80's. Couldn't believe this is a 2010 release.
WARNING - - this is a MOCKBUSTER put out by THE ASYLUM. This video is a knock off both in title or theme or both. They do no original or quality work. There is commonality in all of THE ASYLUM films however - - none of them are worth watching - - BAD PLOT / BAD SCRIPT / BAD ACTING / BAD AUDIO BACKGROUND / BAD AUDIO RECORDING / BAD CGI / BAD VIDEO SPLICING - - - just BAD, BAD, BAD. The only entertainment value you will likely find is a competition with others to see who can count the most mistakes or the most cheesy lines, stolen sound effects and poor imagry. Unfortunately, this video rental company doesn't warn us of crappy videos - - I think they are more interested in inflating their video selection count for comparisons to their competition. I have seen a few reviewers provide relatively high ratings on some of the Asylum videos - - I can only conclude they are either high on something, or have a financial interest in luring more gullible viewers in. You've been warned!
