A rookie CIA operative goes on the run with a rogue former intelligence officer after a South African safe house comes under attack by heavily armed mercenaries. Matt Weston (Ryan Reynolds) is a CIA agent just waiting for the perfect opportunity to prove himself. But that's no easy task when you've been cooped up in an empty Cape Town safe house for a whole year. Weston realizes that a prime opportunity is headed his way, however, when he learns that former agent Tobin Frost (Denzel Washington) has been captured after nearly a decade on the run. Frost is about to become Weston's one and only guest at the safe house, and the fledgling agent is determined to handle the situation like a true professional. But by selling U.S. secrets to countries like North Korea, Frost has made more than his fair share of enemies in high places, and shortly after he arrives at the safe house, all hell breaks loose. A small army of gunmen are determined to see Frost dead. Meanwhile, Weston will do everything in his power to protect Frost, regardless of his crimes. Now Weston's only hope for getting out of this alive is to find out who's gunning for them, and seek out someone he can trust before it's too late. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

Some really intense action in this movie, so intense that if you're not paying attention it will frighten you. Ryan Reynolds shares the spotlight with Denzel Washington who is a prisoner that Ryan is trying to deliver to a CIA safe house. What could possibly go wrong? Rent and see.

Was expecting something different. Only watched the first 10 minutes and gave up. Starts right in with too much casual gunplay and stereotypical eastern European tough guy talk.. I guess Denzel needed the money.

Action packed and unfortunately does seem to be too close to the truth about how covert operations are performed. Older now and more cynical or perhaps, not so trusting, I am. The disclaimer in the beginning of film was an indicator of possible revealing perspectives. Actors do great job, so worth watching!

WHAT A WASTE OF DENZEL WASHINGTON! If you like action, gun fights and long car chases, this is for you. Weak plot. Hardly bellievvable ending. I fast forwarded most of the very long last hour or so. A 100% waste of my time. Not the worst movie I have viewed but it comes close. I might add that the sound track was not the greatest.

I enjoyed the movie. The action was amazing. Denzel made Ryan Reynolds look good. This movie made his movie career take off because I haven't seen him in anything. The movie & twist were great. I LOVE DENZEL

This would be a below average movie if not for the acting. Washington and Reynolds make the relatively predictable plot tolerable. Don't expect to be kept on the edge of your seat, just sit back and enjoy the action.

Denzel Washington can make a mediocre movie great, and I thought the movie was okay. The story was what interested me. I love how Matt Weston's character is truly schooled by Tobin Frost. I know that this plot has been done many times before, but I still love it. This movie reminded me that patriotism doesn't necessarily mean that you just follow and don't ask questions.

If I were judging this movie only by the acting, I'd most likely rate it 4 stars rather than 3. I felt the story was trite and predictable. It's exciting if you like shoot 'em up adventure/thrillers (and I do). My boyfriend and I both got a kick out of it. Ryan Reynolds' character is intelligent but untried in the field. Suddenly he's responsible for the the safety of Danzel Washington's character who is a CIA legend as well as a rouge agent. DW's character is presented as a bad guy, a traitor, and RR's as the good guy, but really? It's baptism by fire for RR's character, and the development between them IS the best story. To tell you more would ruin it. It's a hoot and entertaining if you don't mind being 2-3 steps ahead of the action most of the time.

Denzel Washington was fabulous. I think Ryan Reynolds is better at comedy, but this was an excellent movie, and I liked the ending.
