NOT Denzsl's best work. Too much phoney shoot out and bang up car chases. The film dragged at times. The first 15 minutes and the last were the best of the entire movie

Denzel Washington can make a mediocre movie great, and I thought the movie was okay. The story was what interested me. I love how Matt Weston's character is truly schooled by Tobin Frost. I know that this plot has been done many times before, but I still love it. This movie reminded me that patriotism doesn't necessarily mean that you just follow and don't ask questions.
If I were judging this movie only by the acting, I'd most likely rate it 4 stars rather than 3. I felt the story was trite and predictable. It's exciting if you like shoot 'em up adventure/thrillers (and I do). My boyfriend and I both got a kick out of it. Ryan Reynolds' character is intelligent but untried in the field. Suddenly he's responsible for the the safety of Danzel Washington's character who is a CIA legend as well as a rouge agent. DW's character is presented as a bad guy, a traitor, and RR's as the good guy, but really? It's baptism by fire for RR's character, and the development between them IS the best story. To tell you more would ruin it. It's a hoot and entertaining if you don't mind being 2-3 steps ahead of the action most of the time.
