A yacht outing to Australia's Great Barrier Reef leads to a harrowing struggle for survival in this deep sea shocker from Black Water director Andrew Traucki. The sun was shining and the waters were calm when Luke and his friends set sail in their luxury yacht. But when jagged rocks tear a hole in the hull, the terrified passengers are forced to choose between remaining on board in hopes of being rescued and braving the shark-infested waters for a 12 mile swim to the nearest island. The moment everyone dives into the ocean, however, a massive Great White Shark picks up their scent, and begins methodically dragging them down into the icy depths, one-by-one. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

Really painful to watch,as we have all been shown too many times that sharks are sharks...did you know SOME people really like sharks?! This movie was very good, even though you cannot help but just wonder,at the beginning,WHO,if anyone, will be left to tell the story..

Not an ocean flick fan. This one was ok. I just did not care for the end of it much.Granted it is based on a true story so what happened happened, but, I think a bit of time with the survivor would have been nice. It would have rounded it out more. But still, if you enjoy these sort of stories, you should rent it.

riveting!! Intense. Great Acting. As in Jaws, I think I will stay away from the San Diego beaches for awhile.

It was pretty exciting to see all of them trying to outwit the sharks to get to the island. Suspenseful and very scary at times. Not for children under 13yrs old

This is one fantastic story. It is based on a true story in New Zealand. It uses actors based in Australia and New Zealand. This is at least a 4 star movie.

Very suspenseful, very creepy. Slicker than "Open Water", and we're talking about a White Pointer...the Great White Shark...not some smaller sharks. What would you do if out in the middle of the ocean, trying to reach land, with none in sight, and you were stalked by one of these man-eaters! The film captures all the suspense and terror of being in just that situation! Watch it...you may not head to the beach for a while afterwards!

This is by far the BEST shark movie ever made. No other production crew have mastered the speed at which at Great white Shark attacks..........until now. You literally feel the actors anxiety! I highly recommend this movie, it is awesome.
