The Men in Black are back, and this time Agent J (Will Smith) must take a trip into the past in order to save both the future and his taciturn partner Agent K (Tommy Lee Jones) in the third installment of the hit sci-fi comedy series. After 15 years of working with aliens from all across the cosmos, Agent J is sure he's seen it all. But just when he's getting the hang of the game, he learns that history has inexplicably been rewritten. In this new timeline of events, Agent K has been dead for 40 years, and Earth will soon come under attack from an extraterrestrial force with the power to claim the entire planet. Now, in order to set the past straight and head off an invasion of epic proportions, Agent J must travel back to the year 1969, when Young Agent K (Josh Brolin) was just a fresh new face on the force. But Agent J only has 24 hours to find the source of the coming catastrophe and discern how his longtime partner ties into the situation -- should he fail he'll be stuck in the past forever. Jemaine Clement, Alice Eve, and Emma Thompson co-star. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi
This movie delivered exactly as expected. It was true to the MIB theme: fun, funny, great aliens, a good partner movie and even had a nice heart warming ending. Will Smith delivered the J weâve come to know and love. Josh Brolin was top notch as a young K/Tommy Lee Jones â and had the character dead-on. Really liked the new Griffin character as well. All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed this. MIB II may have been weak, but this one came back and delivered the right stuff.
Just as good as the rest! Jones and Smith are again paired to fight aliens, but this time Smith has to go back in time to save his partner. Lots of alien-monster types and futuristic equipment. Some subtle humor for fun...rent this one.
Am 50-yr old female, saw this movie with my 22-yr old nephew and his friend - all 3 of us enjoyed it. ---- Plenty of funny/gross alien moments (where you find yourself cringing and saying "eww!" and laughing at the same time) - the usual MIB routine, maybe a little more "eww" to the aliens then in the previous movies. --- Josh Brolin was an excellent casting choice to play the younger version of Agent K (Tommy Lee Jones). --- I would not say it was better or worse than the other MIB movies, to me they are pretty similar. Not a "must see" movie - but certainly enjoyable.
If you enjoyed the first two MIB movies, then you will really enjoy this one. Fun movie, with both humor and non-stop action. It is good to see Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones back together!
