The Men in Black are back, and this time Agent J (Will Smith) must take a trip into the past in order to save both the future and his taciturn partner Agent K (Tommy Lee Jones) in the third installment of the hit sci-fi comedy series. After 15 years of working with aliens from all across the cosmos, Agent J is sure he's seen it all. But just when he's getting the hang of the game, he learns that history has inexplicably been rewritten. In this new timeline of events, Agent K has been dead for 40 years, and Earth will soon come under attack from an extraterrestrial force with the power to claim the entire planet. Now, in order to set the past straight and head off an invasion of epic proportions, Agent J must travel back to the year 1969, when Young Agent K (Josh Brolin) was just a fresh new face on the force. But Agent J only has 24 hours to find the source of the coming catastrophe and discern how his longtime partner ties into the situation -- should he fail he'll be stuck in the past forever. Jemaine Clement, Alice Eve, and Emma Thompson co-star. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi
Am 50-yr old female, saw this movie with my 22-yr old nephew and his friend - all 3 of us enjoyed it. ---- Plenty of funny/gross alien moments (where you find yourself cringing and saying "eww!" and laughing at the same time) - the usual MIB routine, maybe a little more "eww" to the aliens then in the previous movies. --- Josh Brolin was an excellent casting choice to play the younger version of Agent K (Tommy Lee Jones). --- I would not say it was better or worse than the other MIB movies, to me they are pretty similar. Not a "must see" movie - but certainly enjoyable.
If you enjoyed the first two MIB movies, then you will really enjoy this one. Fun movie, with both humor and non-stop action. It is good to see Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones back together!
Just great. You got to see it in IMAX 3D! Some surprises and answers the questions of why J became a Man In Black. If there were any negatives they would be that it seems that more of the aliens were bad guys than we've seen in previous episodes. I would have liked to see more gadgets. If you did not know that Josh Brolin was playing a young K you would have thought they computer generated K. He could have been his younger twin. I'll add this one to my collection. I saw it twice in the theater, once in IMAX 3D and once regular 3D. Hope it is offered in 3D here.
I enjoyed this movie. Great concept, wonderful connection to other MIB movies. Great movie. It made me laugh and cry and leave wanting to watch it again.
Men In Black returns with a story that turns back the clocks and have Agent J ( Will Smith) go to save Agent K ( Tommy Lee Jones) life. In his return to a future time line Agent K ( Josh Brolin) is a much better person to be around and we find out why , later. But with 24 hours to save the futures time line, Earth, needs HELP in the pass. It is something you have to see and feel good about. GOOD movie and not best for a third installment . Tommy Lee plays the voice of Josh Brolin's Agent K and also has the nose of Agent K .
A Great MOVIE AND A Must See and must buy as well. Can't wait for MEN in BLACK 4.
Pretty good. A little more serious in nature than the first two, but the comedic spots hit well. Possibly a tear to drop from the more sensitive viewers. Not my favorite in the series, but still definitely worth a watch.
