Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy concludes with this Warner Brothers release that finds The Dark Knight pitted against Bane, an unstoppable foe possessed of tremendous physical and intellectual strength. Nearly a decade after taking the fall for Harvey Dent's death and disappearing into the darkness, a fugitive Batman (Christian Bale) watches from the shadows as the Dent Act keeps the streets of Gotham City free of crime. Meanwhile, an elusive cat burglar seizes the chance to strike, and a masked anarchist plots a devastating series of attacks designed to lure Bruce Wayne out of the shadows. Determined not to abandon the people who he once risked his life to protect, The Dark Knight emerges from his self-imposed exile ready to fight. But Bane (Tom Hardy) is ready, too, and once Batman is within his grasp, he will do everything in his power to break Gotham City's shadowy savior. Oscar-winner Michael Caine and Gary Oldman return in a sequel also starring Anne Hathaway, Marion Cotillard, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

I found this third and last installment to Christopher Nolan's Batman Trilogy to be the best one out of all three. I loved Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, but The Dark Knight Rises was insanely intense and action packed. The plot was well put together and the characters were well brought out together and developed. Christain Bale is the best Batman ever, and the rest of the cast were shockingly amazing, Especially Anne Hathaway as Catwoman. The Ending of this movie is well worth the wait of the long running time of this movie, but even with that said the whole movie is well worth to see, if not a must see for everyone. Trust me you don't want to miss this one, i believe it deserves an Oscar for its hard hitting and touching plot.

It's enjoyable enough for its runtime, but mostly forgettable. In general, it seemed overstuffed, overdone, and too long. Although there's plenty of action and closure to the Batman legacy, I rate it as the weakest installment of the trilogy.

The third and final installment of Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy whips by, even at 2:45 min, because it is very intense, with lots of action and a sad and satisfying ending. AH steals the show as Catwoman. As Siskel and Ebert used to say....two BIG thumbs up!

I don't think any movie will compare to this. This is by far all the genres I love in one. It was so freakin fantastic, it's got me torn between Marvel/DC!!! Great job again Christian Bale. Also excellent work by Anne Hathaway, Tom Hardy, Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, and Joseph Gordon-Leavitt.

This movie is a mix of Batman stories, in particular, "The Dark Knight Returns." It's a future based story with Batman coming out of retirement to save Gotham. In short, this movie is slow, has a lot of plot holes, and the performances were standard. Bane's voice is ridiculous and takes away from his being sinister. Anne Hathaway goes through the motions. Bale is Bale...still with the over-done voice. It's worth seeing Nolan's ending his run. It's not worth owning, or seeing twice.

Bane's origin was completely wrong, didn't even give Bane the Venom that allowed him to break Batman's spine. In a horribly misguided way, the director tried to bring in the concept of Robin at the end, not using Richard Grayson or Tim Drake, just using some random cop. I had a feeling seeing this movie was going to be a mistake and I was right. It didn't have the dedication to the comic book readers that Batman Begins or Dark Knight had. Next Batman will have Arnold as Mr. Freeze again and henchmen with lightbulbs on their costumes. The only good thing about the movie is it represents Catwoman, Celina Kile, accurately.
