In this installment of the "Twilight" saga, Bella (Kristen Stewart) becomes pregnant after marrying Edward (Robert Pattinson), which leads to a dangerous childbirth and a shocking realization for werewolf Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner). ~ Tracie Cooper, Rovi
Saw this today. Plain and simple, it is ok. Twilight fans will not agree with me, but I will give you an honest take. They are starting to get to the meat and bones of the story and do a good job building it up, but I have always found the the dreary tones aren't something to enjoy on film. The best scenes were at the end were the lead you into part II brilliantly, but these characters are just too spoiled. Social drama directed at teens don't always send a good message or even a positive one in choices. This is about love and family, but have no family members you recognize. Fantasy, I do think this is the best of the Twilight films and that is not saying much. Twlight readers will enjoy every moment of this film, but those who haven't read up on it, will not care. There are just too many dislikable characters. You will eventually see it one way or another but I barely recommned it.
Just saw it today and frankly, I was really let down. I am a big fan and have seen all the other parts but this one was 100 minutes of boredom and 3 minutes of action. There was the wedding, the honeymoon, some flashbacks, the s-ex, then Bella getting preggo with a demon baby and the werewolfs wanting to kill it. If this had been the first movie I would have lost interest in the series. I mean if you have been following, of course you have to see it duh, but don't expect much. Just hoping part 2 makes up for what this one lacked.
Having read the book the first 30 minutes of the movie made me dizzy! We waited 4+ years to see Bella and Edward married and the whole wedding scene and other details were rushed. They could have made the movie longer and stayed true to the book. Still gets 5 stars from me!!! Stewart was amazing!!! An absolute must see BUT not for kids at all and should have been rated "R" not for the love scenes but more so for the birth scene and other details that children should not see.
Saw the midnight showing. This is the best twilght so far. If you read the books you will not be diappointed they followed the book well. Great contuation to a great story as long as you like the saga you like no love this move.I know I will be going back to see it again. Worth seeing.
Story is drawn out much longer than it needed to be. Definitely should have been combined with the next movie. And someone in this film should learn a new expression. I got really tired of smirk & sulk! Sheesh!
i think most viewer who do not like vampire and wolves.they are going to give a bad rating. the twilight saga of bella and edward they are beautiful actors.i hopes they continued there good work up.i am looking forward more there acting career.
A moving and hauntingly beautiful movie. The wedding: Alice did an amazing job transforming their yard into a breathtakingly beautiful backdrop in which Edward and Bella exchanged vows.
The honeymoon: SPOILER ALERT- Bella getting pregnant wasn't exactly a surprise, you could see it coming a mile away! Frankly I was happy because once the first night romance and steamy s*x was over the honeymoon was a snooze fest! Chess? Seriously? Once the pregnancy was discovered it turned around and the drama was back on in full force! There was the awkward Edward/Jacob rivalry with the cheesy dialogue between them, as usual, but watching Bella slowly waste away had me bawling the whole rest of the movie! You really went team Jacob seeing him so protective of her while Edward drops the ball on a selfishness bender. Then Jacob goes rogue and the wolfpack comes gunning for Bella and the baby. The birth scene was so moving and dramatic and the ending was so incredible-I rewound and watched it 8 times!
