Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) comes face to face with her greatest fear after returning home to Woodsboro and getting caught in the center of another bloodbath in this sequel from director Wes Craven and screenwriter Kevin Williamson. Touring the country in promotion of her new self-help book, Sidney arrives in Woodsboro and quickly reconnects with her old friend Sheriff Dewey (David Arquette), who has recently gotten married to Gale Weathers (Courteney Cox). Though a much-welcomed family reunion with her aunt Kate (Mary McDonnell) and cousin Jill (Emma Roberts) goes a long way in helping Sidney lay her tragic past to rest, old fears come back with a vengeance when Ghostface reappears on a murderous mission to make up for lost time. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi
all they did was copy the originals and change it up a bit. it was alright, but they shouldn't have copied the originals. for example the garage scene and the boyfriend coming out of the window, and so on.... it's like as if they couldn't have come up with anything else.
One of the conceits of the series--that the killer's voice (Roger Jackson) and height (Dane Farewell) are no indication of the killer's identity--has begun to wear thin, and even kicks to the killer's face are forgotten without a bruise. Yes, the first three Scream movies succeeded for me in spite of similar violations of logic, but only because their tongue-in-cheek, self-referential style was new in Scream and still fresh enough in Scream 2 and 3; eleven years later, there's little point beyond the where-are-they-now nostalgia. There's a superficial glance at the reality television culture and the celebrity victim phenomenon, but it's quite similar to the fleeting debate of the "Marilyn Manson made me do it" controversy in Scream 3. If there's a theme, it's the rough transition between generations: "it's my turn" vs. "I've still got it." Do you really still have it, though, if what you once had was novelty?

There just aren't any good reasons left to kill your friends and family. This movies is really boring and lame. Ending is really ridiculous. Don't waste your time. They shouldn't have made a 4th one. The first 3 are classics.
