Director Adam Green (Hatchet, Spiral) takes the helm for this relentlessly tense tale of three snowboarders who must fight for their lives in the freezing cold after getting stranded on a ski lift. As the trio rides up the mountain in preparation for their final run of the day, the night lights suddenly go dark, and the lift chairs grind to a sudden halt. Realizing that the resort will be closed until the following weekend, the three friends decide to take their fate into their own hands, and find their way down to terra firma. I was running out of movies to watch and decided to give this a shot. This movie isn't your typical horror flick since everything in this movie could actually happen. Starts off normal for the first 30 minutes and then for the next hour, 3 friends attempt to survive after getting stuck on a ski lift. Needless to say, things do not end well for all of them and don't eat pizza while watching. Some might find the movie slow and boring, however if you give it a chance and make it past the gross parts, you may never again get on a ski lift. I can't say much more without ruining the movie for you.

This movie had a lot of potential to be great but failed to achieve so. I dont know why they always make the characters incredibly dumb with no common sense. There were numerous situations in the movie that just made you angry on how stupid these characters handled themselves. Worth renting but not buying.

as simple as the set up can be, it is full of drama, suspense and the reasoning and the script from the three people are great. Is a movie that has a strong message about survival and life itself with the touch of fun from a young generation.

this movie is nail biting suspense!! even during the first 30 minutes that many of these reviewers claim was "boring" I was pretty tense with aniticipation! I highly reccomend this film, its a very original take on a somehting that could easily happen, and it kinda answers some questions you might have ever had about ski lifts and the distance from the ground and you know what, its hard to get into details about this film without spoiling too much...definately a great film if you enjoy twisted survival stories or if your into outdoor winter sports! I actually had a piece of toast in the toaster during the middle of the film and ended up burning the toast to hell cause I was so glued to the film and forgot about the toast in the toaster!!
