Don't know why this got such bad press it was really quite good. Then, again, I downloaded it and I had control of the volume...alternated between blasting loud and normal. Irritating. Could have stood to see more of Alexander who is gorgeous beyond belief. Some characters were really good. Some were comical...Liam, Rhianna (sometimes...I mean..who jumps into the ocean from a burning battleship and surfaces with their hat on???) Mid movie they get around to the Battleship game...which was interesting. Typical outcome for an alien invasion movie. Nice nod to the Veterans of our wars. Was this review helpful? Yes

I saw this tonight. Was really excited because my Dad was in the navy and thought the concept of the Navy saving the World was interesting. I went in expecting a great movie and came out having seen just a so-so movie. Some nice special effects and loved towards the end how some old war Veterans got to pitch in to save mankid.
