I didn't see the original and I wasn't really sure about renting this one. I'M GLAD I DID! This movie is exciting and intense! This has some really horrific scenes and the blood and gore looked top shelf. Rebecca D. is truly masterful as the evil mom. Like suspense, excitement, intense blood and gore? Then see this movie!

Decent "re-imagining" but could have been a lot more fun/interesting if they let Rebecca De Mornay chew up the scenery more. Otherwise a pretty standard issue modern horror flick.
