Visionary filmmaker Christopher Nolan (Memento, The Dark Knight) writes and directs this psychological sci-fi action film about a thief who possesses the power to enter into the dreams of others. Dom Cobb (Leonardo DiCaprio) doesn't steal things, he steals ideas. By projecting himself deep into the subconscious of his targets, he can glean information that even the best computer hackers can't get to. In the world of corporate espionage, Cobb is the ultimate weapon. But even weapons have their weakness, and when Cobb loses everything, he's forced to embark on one final mission in a desperate quest for redemption. This time, Cobb won't be harvesting an idea, but sowing one. Should he and his team of specialists succeed, they will have discovered a new frontier in the art of psychic espionage. They've planned everything to perfection, and they have all the tools to get the job done. Their mission is complicated, however, by the sudden appearance of a malevolent foe that seems to know exactly what they're up to, and precisely how to stop them. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

One of the best films ever conceived. Very ECKHART TOLLE. Very intelligent from beginning to end. It DID NOT dumb itself down for Michael Bay pop corn movie lovers. It's ABSOLUTELY well done. Story was very tight and acting was at it's highest caliber. It's Dark City meets The Matrix meets Mission Impossible.

An intelligent, well written and crafted thriller. The film has a very strong concept along with amazing visuals (which at times it seems too dependant upon). Some aspects of the subconscious that are explored are too controlled and not as chaotic as expected, which seems to lack the imaginative depth that it should've presented. Also, the morality or ethics of the actions in the film are never questioned. Maybe, I just expected a few of these things to be explored in more depth. However, despite flaws the film is still intellectually superior to most current cinema and very thrilling. It is very good but not a masterpiece.

I'm a big sci fi fan and I hated this movie. Probably one of the most annoying I've ever seen. I never review movies, but I really disliked this film.

Not much needs to be said about this one. What a film! Great writing and awesome cast. The story is captivating and the ending is just right. Leaves the viewer debating everything and everyone. Perfect film for anybody who enjoys a thriller and suspense.

This is an interesting and original movie that you can't go to the bathroom during because you can't afford to miss a minute! It's complex, multi-layered and superbly well acted! You're really drawn in to the story and find yourself feeling for Dom and the heartbreak and anguish he lives with on a daily basis. You feel compelled to follow him into each progressively more dangerous layer of his journey to find out what's behind his intense drive to continue entering others dreams even when it's clear that it's detrimental to his psychological well being. Enter Ariadne. She sees his perilous predicament and is determined to find out what"s really going on while others seem to only notice the job and not that he"s clearly losing his grip on reality. She follows him beyond where the lines of reality are clearly recognizable and risks her own life and safety to help him and uncovers the shocking truth-to not only Dom's dark secrets but to genesis of inception itself. This is a must see!!
