A fast-paced and funny twist on the Homeward Bound saga in which devoted pets traverse the wilderness in search of their owners, Brave Little Toaster is an animated family treat that tells the delightful story of a gang of household appliances who set off for the big city to find their young master after he thoughtlessly leaves them in his summer cabin. Along the way they must face many dangers and obstacles, including figuring out how to get juice in a wilderness containing no electrical outlets. The film is based on a children's tale by science-fiction author Thomas M. Disch and won a Parent's Choice Award. ~ Sandra Brennan, Rovi

Looks slow and old compared to latest animations, but this is a very good movie promoting endurance, loyalty, and friendship. The last song "Worthless" sums up life itself. Almost intended for adults to comprehend rather than kids.

This movie is the underdog of all Disney animations. It is my favorite Disney Movie simply becuase it stands out, especially when you look at most Disney/kids movies these days. Basically if you've seen one Pixar movie, you've seen them all. I just wish they didn't make this into a trilogy, as the first one says it all.

I would definitely NOT recommend this movie for young children. It has very strong language and really scary parts. I'm surprised to see it recommended here for 4-6 year olds. :(

Quite honestly, I just don't see how there can be so many positive reviews for this movie. Is there a good moral to it? Yes. Did the kids enjoy it? Yes, they did. Did Mom and Dad shoot each other "when-is-the-torture-going-to-end" looks while the kids were enthralled with the screen? Yes, they absolutely did! It was painful to sit through this. The story went in so many different directions and had so many "red herrings" I could practically smell the stink of fish. Is this movie actually about the Brave Little toaster at all? Well, had it not been for the ending, I would have said no. Music was lacking in key points and in other points of the movie, you just wanted to puncture your own eardrums to relieve them of the assault of the so-called music. I give credit for the good moral ending to the story, but that is the lone positive I have to say about this meandering, boring movie.
