This horror film concerns a shipwrecked yachting party. Rose (Brooke Adams) and her fellow yacht-mates, including the captain (John Carradine) run aground on an island when they hit an odd-looking freighter. Once beached, they meet up with an aging SS Commander (Peter Cushing) who had been in charge of a crew of zombies. This is not meant as a comment on the quality of the men under him, they were "real" zombies. Since the zombies were taken from the ranks of murderers and other miscreants, they were not activated and the SS Commander sunk them with his submarine. Now they are rising up from the depths to create mayhem among the stranded members of the yachting party. ~ Eleanor Mannikka, Rovi

Although there is very little gore in this film, the idea of Nazi Zombies is quite intriguing and the film kept my interest throughout. I really enjoyed how terrifying this movie actually was.

Pretty creepy movie... Really cool because I scuba dived around the "ship" in the Bahamas! It's still there, and unfortunately I saw this movie AFTER I had been to the ship. A cult classic, surely! I just don't understand why they don't just go around tearing all the goggles off the Nazis... that kills them!

This movie is gr8 and I am glad it got re-released. It disgusts the amount of young horror fans out there who lack the culture to appreciate horror of days past. I too relish gore, the more the better, but you have got to appreciate the genre's history if you are to be a faithful fan of today. Go back to Horror 101 ppl and grab a brain while you are at it, this movie is gr8!

I was really looking forward to seeing this movie. Positives are that it was a really cool story premise and that there were some genuinely creepy moments....and that is about it. The screen writing was absolutely atrocious and the acting was even worse! We have no idea why any of these characters are doing what they are doing.....including the zombies. They just randomly pop up out of mud puddles and choke people when they run into them. The fact that this movie made it to DVD holds testament that it is a story premise that people are genuinely interested in. I would love to see it updated by someone who knows how to tell a story. David Twohy (Below, Chronicles of Riddick) would be an awesome choice!

This movie is great if you want to watch a movie about under water Nazi zombies. It may be slightly dated. I think that it is worth renting if you like zombies.

This was not bad, but not great either I liked the idea of Nazi zombies, but still there was something about it a little too science fiction for me

Do not waste your time with this low-budget film. I would rather watch my dogs run around the yard.

The first half was "ok". Not sure why this is considered a cult classic but it got tedious and down right annoying at times. Pass on this one people. Not creepy, not scary.

This movie was pretty good for it's time, but had it's lame reactions to certain situations by the "castaways". It could have used at least a drop of blood at some point too. The Nazi's just drown 'em. The story made them seem like psychotic bad asses, so I was at least expecting something to get guaged, ripped off, ect. Oh well, but all in all still a fun movie to watch.

Not scary and there's no blood to be had and the acting(for the most part) is crap. The begining is also irritating becuase of a red filter they used on the camera, cuasing the screen to be...red. But the Nazi's make-up looks good and the underwater cinematography is out of this world. There's a genuinely creepy atmosphere throughout this film, just wish there was a bit more blood. -Stone
