What an awful movie. Just ridiculous and stupid and boring. The only mildly redeeming part of this movie is Alec Baldwin. Thanks goodness I was able to watch it in the seclusion of my home. How they could take so many great songs and mash them together into 2 hours of bland, boring, inexplicable dreck is beyond me. Julianne Hough and Malin Akerman were good eye candy and not much else. Alec Baldwin was completely out of place which ruined every scene. Russell Brand was as predictable as ever. Paul Giamatti's talent was largely wasted. The only highlight of the movie was Tom Cruise, who did a great job amongst a sea of mediocrity. Was this review helpful? Yes

Jam packed with great stars. Tom makes it worthwhile seeing. He plays the aging rocker to a T and is in amazing shape. His singing was even good. Baldwin never disappoints and even Russell played a good part. Julianne was a huge miss. All the hairspray and mismatched extensions were distracting..including her singing. Was this review helpful? Don't understand the bad reviews! It's a fun movie! The music is good, there are some decent comedic moments and Tom Crusie is truly amazing in his role!
